WTF does not stand for World Trade Federation

I'm quoting Editor Ashley Leis, Challenge Magazine:

The harsh realities of a crippled economy have hit in many ways. Jobs and homes have been lost and companies have been closed. But this isn't about pointing fingers.

Depending on whom you believe, the outcome of the $700 billion bailout seems unsure. The package includes the government buying up bad debt, (Ed.note... now its just stock) in an attempt, it seems, to get credit lines open again and hopefully instill a sense that it's OK to start spending again. There's a lot of fine print and details n 303-section H.R. 1424 Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.

Will the package work? I'm not qualified or informed enough to say one way or the other. I'll certainly be reading as much as possible as more details emerge. It's the lessons learned from the economic dive that I will not forget. Will this be a go-ahead for lenders to once again open the floodgates for mortgage applications, repeating a staggering number of foreclosures? Will we be able to take our money out from under the mattress and invest again?...
